Adult Study

NOTICE: Until further notice, adult study programs will be held virtually, which means participants can join discussions on the internet.

Meeting each Wednesday online from 7:00 to 8:00 PM, we are offering a study related to episodes of provocative video series available online.

Youtube Flip Side (Soul Pancake series) videos have been our discussion-starters. These are short videos, that offer provocative questions for discussion.

Each class is a new topic, so feel free to zoom in when you can; all are welcome.

Each year a variety of Bible studies and book discussions are offered in the church building’s elegant parlor.  Led by the pastor and/or lay leaders, study groups typically meet one evening each week.  Depending on the curriculum, studies cover between three months and nine months of weekly meetings.   Recent studies have included in-depth explorations of the prophets, the letters of Paul, and the New and Old Testaments more broadly.  The pastor and lay leaders are always open to course study ideas.

We plan to offer more studies in the future.  Updated information will be posted here and on our Facebook page.

All are welcome.  No experience necessary.  Contact the St. Paul’s UMC office at 631-261-0804 or by email to get your copy of the book(s) and for further details.
